Event Date : 29th September 2025
Place : Shri Shri Shiv-Shakti Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, Jamshedpur Mahanagar, Village – Kultond, Patamda, Jharkhand
At the heart of our vibrant traditions lies a profound respect for the divine feminine, beautifully manifested in the sacred practice of Kanya Pujan. The Ursha Foundation, through its impactful MAM ABHIGYANAM program, recently orchestrated a heartwarming Kanya Pujan ceremony that resonated with reverence and joy.
Our pictures capture the essence of this auspicious occasion. We see a gathering of young girls, adorned in bright red, radiating innocence and grace as they participate in the rituals. These ‘little goddesses’ are the focal point, honored and celebrated, embodying the strength and purity of Devi. Alongside them, elders and community members from Vanvasi Kalyan Kendra at Shri Shri Shiv-Shakti Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir in Kultond, Patamda, Jharkhand, offer their blessings, symbolizing a community’s commitment to nurturing its future.
This Kanya Pujan is more than just a ceremony; it’s a powerful affirmation of dignity and worth. It’s about ‘Empowering the Goddess Within’ each girl, recognizing her inherent potential and reminding her that she is cherished. The Ursha Foundation’s MAM ABHIGYANAM program continues to uplift communities, fostering an environment where every child, especially every girl, feels valued, respected, and inspired to shine brightly. It’s a beautiful blend of cultural heritage and a forward-looking vision for a brighter, more equitable future.
